My journey with food began 11 years ago.
Although I haven’t received formal culinary training, those years were spent immersed in active food education — day and night.
Good food is after all the foundation of a good life, right?
Over time, I cooked and explored a wide range of cuisines and styles.
I devoured the books of legendary chefs until my kids started calling them by their first names!
Of course, there were many mishaps, failures, and a fair share of embarrassment along the way.
But there was also a lot of joy, growth, and a deep sense of achievement.
Eventually, I opened a cake business, which ran for a few years before closing as our family grew.
Still, the itch to return to the world of culinary arts never left — and that’s how Mountaineers was born.

It brings together two of my greatest passions: a love of good food and a love of teaching.
I hope you'll come to see cooking the way I do — comforting and therapeutic during difficult times, loving and rewarding during happy ones.
While we don’t offer formal certification, you will walk away with a well-rounded introduction to cooking and a wealth of foundational recipes & techniques to carry with you for life, Inshallah.
So grab your aprons and come along!
(P.S. No actual rock climbing involved- unless you count reaching the top shelf for the spices!)
